According to DICE, this new map called Exposure will “take map design to a whole new level.” It is not clear what this means or where the map will be set. However, this sentence is very interesting, because Battlefield 2042 players have been asking for more infantry-focused maps, so this may be what the developers are referring to.
Of course, a new expert will be introduced every season, as well as new weapons and vehicles.
While we wait for more details on the first season of the game, DICE will make its debut in Battlefield 2042’s first limited-time event. Starting later this month, this mode will bring a 64-player version of conquest and breakthroughs for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This is the default setting for the previous generation of consoles, but it will be the first time for PC and current console players to use a smaller number of players/smaller maps.
In the near future, we expect that there will be a final patch before the DICE holiday this year. This will be the fourth update after the release of Battlefield 2042, and it may be released as early as this week.
