Battlefield 2042: Xbox crashes and disappointed players

Battlefield, crashes, Disappointed, players, Xbox

Battlefield 2042 has not yet been officially released, but with the recently launched Early Access the problems and negative feedback from players are increasing.

As successful as the beta for Battlefield 2042 was, a certain skepticism could not be removed from the participants and this seems to be confirmed. One week before the official release, on November 12th, the Early Access for EA-Play subscribers started and some of them are not exactly happy.

As it turns out, Battlefield 2042 is apparently prone to crashing Xbox Series X consoles in a row. Corresponding reports are currently piling up on EA’s support page with corresponding annoyance of the players, especially since the apparently random crashes are not yet countered. EA has now accepted the problem and plans to release a patch on November 17th that will fix the problem.

Apparently that’s just one of the many problems. Quite a few bugs in the beta do not seem to have been fixed in the final version and many players report framerate problems. On Metacritic, the game is currently being pretty beaten up by the players and stands with one Score of 2.6 pretty modest there.

Among other things, players complain of technical problems and bugs, but also the departure from iconic gameplay elements of the series and the new specialist system. More positive-minded games still hope for a lot of updates after the release. However, what DICE and EA really use to collect points is the portal mode, which is apparently well received by the community.
