Even months after its release, Baldur’s Gate 3 is still full of unique stories that fans tell the rest of the community. Such a thing is the subject of this message and at the same time serves as a warning to you: Because a certain item can take all your gold without you noticing it immediately.

This is what happened to Reddit user Fatal-Funnel, who in one Thread reports how he lost almost 6,000 gold and only regained it by loading a previous save.

Where did all the gold go?

As Fatal-Funnel tells it, he was about to fight Yurgir in Act 2. As he looked through his inventory, he suddenly realized that the gold he had laboriously accumulated had disappeared without a trace.

For three hours he searched the game world and containers for his money – in vain. He then put the cart before the horse and started loading older save games until his gold was back, or rather still in his inventory. This is how he slowly discovered the cause: Something must have happened during the Shar’s rehearsals.

Die evil Shadowheart was to blame

The cause is ultimately typical of Baldur’s Gate 3: Fatal-Funnel found that Shadowheart a certain morning star called Twist of Fortune (in Europe: Twist of fate) carried as a weapon. The Blood Money effect on top of it ensures that An additional 3 piercing damage is dealt for every 300 gold in inventory.

Actually a practical effect for difficult bosses. It’s just stupid that it’s the Shar sample Same there is a game in which you have to fight against an evil copy of your group. You guessed what happened: The evil Shadowheart from Fatal-Funnel apparently freely used the gold supply in her inventory during the attack until it was all used up.
