Prince of Persia The Lost Crown will soon welcome its Mask of Darkness DLC and Ubisoft tells us about it. Be careful, it’s going to burn. According to the studio, you have to prepare well before launch.
It is certainly one of Ubisoft’s best current games, the gem Prince of Persia The Lost Crown will soon be entitled to a new DLC. Mask of Darkness will be released on September 17th on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Switch. Like the main game, it will also be available on old generation consoles. This ambitious DLC offers a new narrative arc, a new area, new enemies and traps, but also some challenges. Ubisoft warns us immediately: be ready.
SPOILER: If you haven’t completed the base game, or at least haven’t made good progress, pay attention to the following.
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown’s next DLC reveals details
It’s coming in a few days and Ubisoft is warning us. The Mask of Darkness DLC expects Prince of Persia players to have fully mastered the gameplay and everything it offers. What this means is that the difficulty will automatically be on level. In other words, if it’s been a while since you put Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown down, we strongly recommend you give it one more try before you proceed.
In order to access the DLC, it is also necessary to be a little advanced in the game. Only once you have emerged from the depths and got your hands on the power of the Shadow of the Simurgh will you be able to access the DLC. Radjen’s Mind Palace, the name of the new explorable area, is said to be of considerable size and accessible via a teleport in a secret room in the undercity of Mount Qaf. There is no doubt that all of this will be shown in the game, of course.
A challenge that was announced as tough
In this DLC, in addition to a new area to visit, you will also find new items to strengthen Sargon, new potions and a Soma tree. The reason? The DLC will take away a large part of your progress and have one of its own. Note that when you leave the Mental Palace, you will of course regain absolutely everything.
Despite everything, the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown DLC wants to annoy you. New enemies await you, as well as numerous traps, some of which have never been seen before. Not to mention that all the skills and gameplay ideas developed in the original game are used here. Players know that this Prince of Persia hides many surprises. The Mask of Darkness DLC, for its part, should do the same and the developers insist: it will hurt a lot, be well prepared. Ubisoft tells you about it in detail in a dedicated article on his side.
