A Plague Tale Requiem reveals a behind-the-scenes look and lots of new images
A Plague Tale Requiem, unveiled at Microsoft’s Summer Conference last year, sported Bordeaux and Asobo colors at the Tribeca Games Showcase. The opportunity to discover in more detail this long-awaited sequel. After a promising gameplay video at the Game Awards, the French game showed itself at its finest with a presentation centered around the game’s design, characters, combat and environments.
After fleeing their plague-ridden homeland, Amicia and Hugo make their way south. A way for Asobo to move away from heroic fantasy to deliver a rawer story and offer something more realistic. A sequel that therefore promises to be more visceral, dense and open than its predecessor, but the gameplay should not decide. Exploration, infiltration, fans will obviously be on familiar territory with some expected improvements and new features. Olivier Derivière will continue to be in charge of the soundtrack and we can hear some notes from the composer.
Those who have reserved their ticket can get their hands on it with an exclusive demo this week. For the others, it is a matter of waiting for the official launch of the game, and unfortunately A Plague Tale Requiem has not lifted the veil on the release date. See you in 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Nintendo Switch via the cloud.
