Mountaintop Studios today released its first trailer for Spectre Divide, a new tactical first-person shooter. On board is e-sports pro Shroud, who has contributed his expertise as a gameplay consultant and one of the best shooter players in the world. At the heart of Spectre Divide is the Duality feature. This new gameplay element allows you to switch back and forth between two bodies – the so-called Spectres – in real time. The trailer shows how players can support their teammates, secure attack points and get out of trouble in tricky situations by switching their Spectres. Spectre Divide uses a 3v3 format and a classic attacker/defender game mode in which one team has to plant a bomb and the other has to defuse it. The shooting mechanics rely on precise hitscan hits, even when moving, and are supported by futuristic weapons and gadgets such as flash grenades. Spectre Divide is being developed exclusively for the PC. A first play test will take place from August 3rd to 4th, 2024, for which you can register on Steam.
