After Dragon Ball Z, it’s the manga Berserk’s turn to have the rights to a fan-made movie. And what we can say is that the latter is much more than a beautiful homage.
An impressive fan film
Even though Kentarô Miura, its creator, left us just over a year ago, berserk, his work, lives on in the hearts of fans. As proof, like Studio Stray Dog, which tackled the Dragon Ball Z saga in July, Several artists have joined forces to produce berserk. Guts vs Raisin
The latter, available below, obviously has nothing official. However, it is a great tribute to the work of Kentarô Miura. The animation, which constantly plays with artwork, is a real eye-catcher and the chosen artistic direction is beyond sublime. The goal here is to tease us with a fight that’s spectacular to say the least (coming soon). What we can say is that the bet was undoubtedly won, we can’t wait to see what happens next.
The whole thing was created by designer Mark Reymer. But for the occasion he was not alone. He was also surrounded by Anniechrome and Renzo for visuals, Paul Owen for all things music, Bas for sound design, and Eyecabal for dubbing. He notably lent his voice to Guts, the main character.
Berserk, a TV series on the way
If you need more, make a note of that recently we learned that the Berserk: The Golden Age film trilogy would simply rise from its ashes; No wonder, since these three animated feature films are some of the best adaptations of the original story. Fans are indeed entitled to the grand return of this trilogy in the form of an episodic TV series called Berserk: The Golden Age – Memorial Edition. It will bring some welcome novelties like unreleased sequences.

As part of the celebrations surrounding the Berserk franchise this year, The Golden Age Arc animated film trilogy will premiere on Japanese television this year. The films will be reassembled under the title “Memorial Edition”.
