Most of the votes were distributed over eight games. Here you can see what they are and how many votes they received:
8th place: The Guild 3 (150 votes)
The Guild 3 was in development for a long time, but the result is now quite impressive and offers an often unintentionally funny trading simulation in the Middle Ages, which despite all its mistakes always knows how to entertain. Steinwallen also stressedthat no one would have expected that this game would even get the curve.
In our test, Die Gilde 3 received 72 gameplay points.
7th place: Strategic Command: American Civil War (202 votes)
An insider tip makes it to number 7. Strategic Command: American Civil War is a turn-based strategy game about the American Civil War. For stone walls
6th place: A Plague Tale: Requiem (205 votes)
The predecessor to A Plague Tale: Requiem was a surprise hit and the second part also convinces with a wonderful look and an emotional story. stone walls emphasized in his tweet also that the successor offers a little more of what made the predecessor popular.
In our test, the action-adventure got a total of 86 points.
5th place: Expeditions: Rome (238 votes)
The strategic role-playing game Expeditions: Rome is the only game in antiquity to make it to fifth place. For stone walls the success is mainly due to the innovative mix, which was very popular with many players.
We gave this mix an 80 in the test.
4th place: Knights of Honor 2 (322 votes)
Knights of Honor 2 is the best alternative for those who have been waiting for Medieval 3 for far too long. The strategy game was convincing across the board and is for stone walls a surprisingly good mix of Total War and Crusader Kings.
In our test there were 78 points.
3rd place: Mount & Blade 2 (445 votes)
Mount & Blade 2 was in development for a long time, but was finally released in 2022. The mixture of role-playing and strategy game gives you an incredible amount of freedom in a medieval world and that’s exactly why it is according to Steinwallen also unrivalled.
The final version of Mount & Blade 2 got 80 points in the GameStar test.
2nd place: Pentiment (471 votes)
The heart project Pentiment, which was developed by real history nerds and tells an exciting criminal story in early modern Upper Bavaria, was voted second place. Steinwallen is also enthusiastic from the great storytelling and the courageous setting.

1st place: Victoria 3 (842 votes)
Paradox’s political simulation, in which we direct the fortunes of a nation from the 19th to the 20th century, made it to first place with Victoria 3. In his tweet about the winner Steinwallen writes that he rarely had so much fun with such an imperfect game.
