I used to be one of the FF fans who didn’t even want the Final Fantasy 7 remake to begin, but there is no denying that Square Enix nailed it.
I never fully understood the meaning of the remake. Yes, Cloud and his friends look outdated in PS1 games, but as far as I know it is a nearly perfect product. More importantly, I think it is impossible in the modern world to use all the traps of modern games to complete the “Final Fantasy 7” story of justice: details, sound performance, the pure time required to produce artwork and assets for anyone In the game area, not to mention the entire game as big as FF7.
We now know that Square Enix has gone another way. First, they divided the game’s story into multiple parts-not released by plot, but as a full-scale game. The story of FF7 will now be a trilogy, quaternion or anything else, all of which are full-length games by modern standards. But the next question to consider is: Does every part of the remake feel like a complete game, or does it feel like a terrifying, truncated experience, full of fluff and lacking conclusions?
The spoilers here are insignificant-decision-making producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Tetsuya Nomura, Motomu Toriyama and Naoki Hamaguchi and FF7 lead writer Nojima Kazuo ( Kazushige Nojima) connected together is a genius way out of this dilemma. The remake is a remake, but there are also some sequels.
I won’t go into details here, but needless to say, in some places, the FF7 remake was stripped from the main story and did surprisingly different things. Some hints of future revelations emerged, but in fact some revelations were moved from other places to this chapter of the story. Sephiroth couldn’t find anyone in this part of the original game. He often appeared in the remake and was daunting.
If you told me all this a few years ago, I would laugh. I have already said that this will be a disaster. Unless it’s not. In fact, it is excellent, allowing the team to revisit the best and most memorable parts of FF7 that can still be used in a modern environment, while staying away from problems that may ultimately be unsolvable. This also means that they are creatively not just rehashing.
It is foreseeable that some fans are very angry with the changes in the story and worry about what the future works of this new FF7 remake series will look like. Listen, I know-they may be rubbish. They may get caught up in “Kingdom Hearts” jokes. However, let us enjoy the essence of FF7 Remake: a strong shock of nostalgia, but also a novel and exciting thing.
The characters are realized in the way they look, sound and move, just like you imagined when you filled the gap left by the original 3D in 1997. In a sense, this battle is the best attempt to integrate the real-time action managed by Final Fantasy and the turn-based RPG strategy.
In addition to those notorious doors and CG backgrounds, it also looks beautiful. (Square Enix, you’d better release the PC version in the new year!)
In any case, this is all-round brilliant. I don’t even want it. I always say that “Final Fantasy” is the best when moving forward and upward, creating new things. I do think that to some extent, I still hope to use FF16 sooner. But if FF7 Remake is not my favorite game this year, then I am damned.
The ring is suitable for adventure
Okay, this is a bit cheating, but I can’t help it. Last year, I reviewed “Ring Fit Adventure” and enjoyed it a lot during the review-but after a while, I stopped playing regular games. Then we were locked.
This excellent fitness game is inspiring and actually more fun, which means that returning to the game feels less trivial. You are promoting a story as well as burning beer and blocking pounds. I would recommend it to anyone.
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Everyone is talking about the new Nvidia and AMD graphics cards and new game consoles this year, but Microsoft Flight Simulator is the real technical achievement MVP of this year’s game. The tools used to create this photo-accurate version of the entire planet are simply amazing.
In addition, this is the easiest flight simulator I have ever played. It has many very useful tools and tutorials to help you master flying knowledge, but this is an unstoppable time for me.
Yakuza: Like a dragon
When the Yakuza team announced that the next game was a turn-based affair inspired by Dragon Quest, I was confused. This really doesn’t make sense. When I tried some weird and novel things with the same formula and played the Yakzua game more than ten times, the whole team got bored after remakes and spin-offs. But, buddy-doesn’t this work?
Obviously, this is ridiculous. But Yakuza has always been. I often hear it described as “Japanese GTA”, but Yakuza is always much stupid and full of enthusiasm than the leading gangster in the West. It turns out that turn-based combat and Yakuza are very suitable because the combat style helps to highlight and exaggerate the best performance of the series. Cap it with charismatic new leadership, and this is the winner.
Angry street 4
The brawler is still absolutely great. They are not the best old style left in the nineties. This game is proof. Cheers.
