Betheda has made some older games free to play on Steam, so if you haven’t tried it, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t.
Again, they’re older titles, so they won’t be as pretty as Skyrim or the newer Fallout titles. Still, free is free, and you should make time to play them, because why not?
The titles of the free games are The Elder Scrolls: Arena, The Elder Scrolls II: Dagger (you really should try it), and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
These games have just been added to Steam as the Bethesda.net Launcher sunsets with the Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition Creation Kits.
If these games aren’t your thing, or you’ve already played them, you can get more Elder Scrolls games for cheap. For example, the older games An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire and The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard cost $5.99 each.
Even better, an updated TES game, The Elder Scrolls Online (MMORPG’s hit) is currently on sale at a whopping 70% off, and it’s only $5.99.
All of these Elder Scrolls games will give you a nice historical background on the series and lore ahead of The Elder Scrolls 6’s release – which is expected to come sometime before the ecstasy (hopefully).
Still in early development, TES 6 debuted at E3 2018, which is out of date for Bethesda to announce a game so far; however, the studio wants to reassure fans that it’s in the works.
Zero details about the game have been provided, so all we know is that it’s designed to be playable for a decade or more, and that work won’t fully begin until Starfield launches on November 11.
