Due to the ever-expanding corona virus, the important industry fair E3 will not take place in Los Angeles this year. As a replacement for the press conference scheduled there, Bethesda had actually planned a digital showcase, but this too has now been canceled.

Bethesda has held one of the larger E3 press conferences in recent years and would have been there again in 2020. After the event was officially canceled due to the corona virus, a digital event was actually planned as a replacement for the press conference.
At this digital event, Bethesda would have announced news about titles that were already available, as well as new announcements. The publisher also has promising titles like The Elder Scrolls VI or Starfield officially in the works, so that such an event would have been of great interest.
The subjunctive already lets you guess correctly: The digital showcase has now also been called off and will not be used as an E3 replacement in June. The reason for this, of course, is again the corona virus, which causes glaring cuts in the economic cycle worldwide and has, among other things, led to several game delays.
Given the many challenges we're facing due to the pandemic, we will not host a digital showcase in June. We have lots of exciting things to share about our games and look forward to telling you more in the coming months.

In addition to Bethesda, Microsoft and Ubisoft had also planned digital events to replace E3; whether this will still take place is currently open – at least there has been no rejection to date.
