Bethesda will retire the Bethesda.net Launcher this spring

Bethesda announces it will discontinue its Bethesda.net Launcher.

According to the company, starting in early April, you’ll be able to migrate your games and wallets to your Steam account.

If you play through the Bethesda.net Launcher, you won’t lose anything from your Bethesda.net account. Many games also undergo save migrations, some of which require manual transfers. For games that require it, you will still be logged in with your Bethesda.net login to play the game. Your Bethesda.net account will not be lost and will remain accessible on the website and in-game.

Detailed instructions on the migration process will be shared in April.

You will still be able to access and play games on the Bethesda.net Launcher until May, but Bethesda recommends that you start the migration process as soon as it becomes available. You won’t lose access to the Bethesda.net library in May, only the ability to play them on the launcher.

Those transferring your Bethesda.net library to your Steam account can rest assured that all virtual currency balances and game add-ons (such as DLC and in-game skins) are automatically transferred along with a full game save.

Games with a Bethesda.net friend list will be merged after migration. This includes Fallout 76, Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, Rage 2, and Deathloop.

Bethesda has published an FAQ on this matter, and if you’re a Fallout 76 player, you might want to have an FAQ created just for it here.
