A new Redfall trailer has just been released, so give the game one last look before it launches May 2It shows a lot of battles, a lot of dark and mysterious areas where we’ll be fighting vampires, and a cover of Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun.
Whether it’s force fields, throwable mines, or an assortment of mystical and other weapons, the game looks like an action-packed adventure through a town full of nocturnal creatures. You can watch the new trailer embedded below!
We also take a closer look at some of them! Throughout the trailer, quick shots of everything from regular vampires to seemingly more powerful Nightcrawlers can be seen. In an interesting twist on some of the more spectacular vampires we’ve seen, the final shot of some big bald blood bender piqued our interest.
The game has recently drawn criticism online for various technical choices revealed online. This includes an always-on requirement for those who wish to play the game alone, which the developers say they are working to remove. The launch trailer says you can kill solo or in a team, but it looks like you’ll have to be online regardless at launch.
There is still a cap of 30 FPS at launch, which will increase to 60 FPS in the future. These two have weakened the hype of some players to some extent. Still, with the game launching on May 2, we won’t have to wait long to see how the game handles these issues.
