Beyond The Wire is a first-person shooter that is designed entirely for multiplayer battles with a large number of players. Up to 100 players should be able to take part in the matches, which are to take place on large, open maps with claustrophobic trenches. The game relies on timely humming, but also on a tactical melee system.
The game wants to recreate the brutal battle in and around the trenches in wild 50vs50 battles. The fight is mainly about bolt action rifles and the use of bayonets, but should also have tactical elements, so that agreement in the team should play an important role. The visual representation, on the other hand, should accurately reflect the brutality of the trench warfare.
The whole thing is developed by Offworld Industries (The Squad, Post Scriptum). A closed alpha is set to begin shortly, and the game is scheduled to go to Early Access on Steam later this year. A Pre-registration for the closed alpha
