As soon as Star Wars Jedi Survivor was released, it already annoyed many players. It’s a disaster on PC and many users are crashing on consoles. The studio eventually responded.
Big Release Late April 2023, Star Wars Jedi Survivor has been making a lot of noise since its rele ase a few days ago. If the game is from an excellent vintage, it is not free from defects. In particular, it is the victim of many more or less annoying bugs, as we also reported in our test on PS5. Collision problems, display errors… the problems are numerous and more or less serious. Unfortunately, while we didn’t experience any major crashes or major bugs preventing us from playing on PS5 during our testing, other players haven’t had the same luck.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor Galley on PC
This is particularly the case on PC, as our technical test shows, where optimization issues are causing great damage to the rating of the game, which is currently undergoing a major rating bombardment on Steam. Players with large configurations cannot use the title in good conditions and some simply cannot play according to their machines. Unfortunately, problems with major releases are becoming more common. Forspoken or The Callisto Protocol, for example, have paid the price.
Respawn and EA were well aware of the issue and spoke up on the subject and were reassuring. In a lengthy statement, the studio says it’s aware of bugs on PC, often related to hardware issues, and is currently doing everything it can to correct the situation. However, he tries to calm things down a bit by saying: ” Fixing bugs and designing a patch takes time
Some issues on PS5 too
Regarding the console versions, more specifically the PS5 version, some gamers are having problems with HDR that doesn’t do justice to the game’s graphics and in some cases can even ruin the visual experience. EA replied that the developers were at work here too. At present, ” It is recommended to play with HDR disabled for the best viewing experience according to the developers.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor should therefore soon receive large patches on consoles and PC. We don’t know when these will drop, but they will arrive soon. So for now we have to be patient.
