The Demonic Lamb screams w ith delight at the thought of the new content in Cult of the Lamb.
With the huge success of Cult of the Lamb, not even have the developers counted. But the fact that so many players found their own sect was of course an absolute boost in motivation! It’s now showing up in the upcoming free update, which they’ve dubbed Relics of the Old Faith… although naming it seems unlikely.
This content comes with the update
In the big addon there are by no means only a few dusty relics to be found. There is a lot of content here that you free of charge from April 24th can discover.
- New storyline
- Combat system expanded with relics and heavy attacks
- Revamped bosses and enemies
- New game modes: Challenge Run, Boss Rush and Permadeath difficulty
- New quests, progression system and secrets
- Improved cult management
- Photo mode
- New accessibility options
- And even more – what exactly, the developers do not reveal.

According to the developers, the improvements are based on the suggestions of the community: We want to make Cult of the Lamb the best game it can be, so we’ve accepted many requests and comments from you, our community of fans.
Sect game celebrates surprise success
Cult of the Lamb was released in August 2022 and was able to convince very quickly with its dark, but also very cute style. The mixture of base building and action game was ultimately even nominated for the best indie game at the Game Awards, but in the end Stray had to admit defeat.
But the defeat is manageable if you look at the Steam numbers: Over 42,000 players have now submitted a review – 93 percent of them positive.
