The manufacturer AVM has started distributing its new operating system Fritz!OS 8. With the update, AVM wants to bring more than 60 new functions and improvements to your routers, as the company announced in a Press release

The new “Online Monitor” that comes with Fritz!OS 8 could be particularly helpful for you in the future. This will allow you to check the utilization of your network and compare the data traffic of the individual network devices.

Fritz!OS 8 offers you more options for your Smart Home

Fritz!OS 8 brings several new features for your smart home: New templates give you the option to set the desired target temperature for radiator controls as well as adjust the brightness, saturation and color of lamps and the position of roller shutters in percentage values.

In addition, you can limit the adjustable temperature of the radiator controls by setting minimum and maximum values. Routines that you create with Fritz!OS 8 can soon also be triggered at preset times or based on astronomical events such as sunrise or sunset.
