Black Desert Online doesn't just look great. It is also currently the largest MMORPG on Steam, with up to 37,000 players at the same time. For comparison: Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy 14 currently have around 23,000 players each. For Black Desert, new game content for higher levels is coming soon: the free area expansion O'dyllita.
When can I play O'dyllita? The update will initially appear on Black Desert Online's South Korean server, but will also be available on Western servers in 2020. An exact release date is not yet known.
What's in O'dyllita?
- The vast area called O'dyllita, which consists of gloomy valleys, forests and ruins. It is said to be the most demanding expansion to date and is aimed at well-equipped players at a high level.
- The new armor set "Black Star", which is built from resources of the new area.
- New pieces of music with an O'dyllita overture as a highlight. The composer of the pieces is audio director Hwiman Ryu. The suite was even performed by the Staatskapelle Weimar. There is a recording of it on YouTube.
Black Desert Online is currently celebrating its fourth anniversary in Europe and North America. Developer Pearl Abyss is launching various events where players can collect rewards. If you log in daily, for example, you will receive items from the Pearl Shop as a reward. You can find an overview of all events on the official website.
