The British-American feature film “Blitz” by writer and director Steve McQueen deals with the German Luftwaffe’s attacks on London during the Second World War, which is also known in Engl ish as “The Blitz”. The film stars Saoirse Ronan and Elliott Heffernan.
The premiere took place at the London Film Festival in October 2024 and was simultaneously shown as an international premiere at the Zurich Film Festival. But when will the film be released in home cinema?

Anyone who is eagerly waiting to enjoy “Blitz” at home can look forward to it soon. While the film may be shown in a few selected cinemas on November 8th, it is intended as an exclusive title for streaming on AppleTV+. You can have it in just a few weeks 22. November from the streaming provider.
“Blitz” on DVD and Blu-ray
It is not clear whether “Blitz” will also be available on DVD and Blu-ray. With Apple Original films and other exclusive streaming titles, it is often the case that a disc release is avoided in order to preserve exclusivity.
