It feels like Blizzard hasn’t talked to the community in a while, but the Diablo 4 developer is back with another developer showcase for Campfire Chat. The livestream will take place this Thursday and will cover some of the previously discussed features.
This seems a bit low-key, but it’s what we can expect.

Blizzard announced this weekend that it will be resuming another version of Diablo 4’s campfire chat on Thursday, February 29th. 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm UKthe livestream will begin with an introduction to Trials, as well as another update for Challenges.
You may recall that Diablo 4’s repeatable dungeon challenges with leaderboards were recently postponed indefinitely. The announcement didn’t say whether we could expect a new release date for Gauntlet during this week’s livestream, but that’s what many are hoping for.
Regardless, Trials and the Gauntlet appears to be close enough to the finish line that a portion of the show will be dedicated to the developers and certain content creators playing with the new content.
In addition to the usual balance updates and the like, the announcement also teases the return of Bloodthirsty Force. This is most likely the vampiric power from the Blood Season arriv ing in the Eternal/Seasonal Realm in a different form. They can take the form of add-ons that attach to new gear, similar to how some malevolent forces were brought back in the form of rings in Season 2.
As always, Community Director Adam Fletcher will be hosting, and will be joined by Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora and Lead Live Course Designer Adam Jackson. You’ll be able to watch on Diablo’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
Diablo 4 has had a tough time in recent weeks. After a lackluster launch in Season 3, the developer released multiple patches in an attempt to mitigate the impact of the new season’s controversial mechanics. Just when more and more players felt they could put Diablo 4 on the back burner, a powerful competitor emerged to grab their attention in the form of Last Age. All the while, Blizzard decides to make news in the most frustrating and bizarre way possible.
Let’s see if Blizzard has an ace up its sleeve that can salvage everything from Season of Constructs, or convince players to return in some way.
