While Bloober Team may be known to most of you as a horror game developer, the studio had released a few other projects prior to the first Layers of Fear. In the meantime, however, they are completely dedicated to the horror. Accordingly, the suspicion arises that the studio’s new project also wants to teach you to fear. Bloober Team has been working on Project M for over a year now.
Even though Bloober Team has existed since 2008, the breakthrough of the Polish studio only followed in 2016 with the first Layers of Fear. The horror title didn’t rely on insane jump scares or exaggerated gore depiction. Instead, the game filled the pants with nuanced psychological terror. Other titles from the developers hit the same note: Observer, Layers of Fear 2, Blair Witch, none of which are for the faint of heart. Even The Medium gave some players nightmares despite the mixed quality. With the remake of Silent Hill 2, the studio even has a very hot iron in the fire.

However, the new edition is not the only project Bloober Team is currently working on. The studio announced via Twitter that it had been working on a fresh title for over a year. The developers still owe us more detailed information, but if you look at the history so far, another horror shocker with a psychological component is obvious.
Bloober Team hasn’t revealed a name either, the working title is quite simply “Project M.”. But it is interesting that with Draw Distance another studio has been brought on board to develop the new game. The pre-production of Project M. has now been completed, so the title is now really in development.
Draw Distance may not be the most obvious partner for Bloober Team right now, at least considering the history of the Polish studio so far. The Serial Cleaner titles are probably the best known. But the company was also responsible for two smaller projects in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. An exciting station wagon, we are excited to see what awaits us.
