While Bloodborne fans desperately await a PS5 or PC version, their prayers for the second platform have been answered, but not necessarily as expected.
While fans of FromSoftware games are currently enjoying Shadow of the World Tree, the Elden Ring DLC, Bloodborne is coming to PC through it while they wait for official news on a remake/remaster, which for now is doomed to eternal night.
Bloodborne is finally coming to PC … indirectly
Since its release on PS4 in 2015, Bloodborne has had a lasting impact on the video game industry, the Souls-like genre and the talented Japanese studio FromSoftware. Its eldritch atmosphere, edgier gameplay and passionate direction by Hidetaka Miyazaki made it a monument for many. While the lesser-known Demon’s Souls had a claim to a remake on PS5, this striking and popular game seems to be abandoned by Sony. However, many fans are demanding a more modern version of this title that is different in many ways.
One of them was very proactive in this regard and offered him an unofficial PC port. With his mod Graceborne (downloadable via Nexus Mods) for Elden Ring, Noctis offers the community the closest thing to a desktop version of Bloodborne, completely re-adapting the open world of FromSoftware’s latest masterpiece to match the darker atmosphere of the title released in 2015. Additionally, 22 armor sets, 35 weapons, 17 swappable weapons, and five fire-covering weapons have been added or are mostly inspired by the latter.
Small drawbacks of this very ambitious and convincing mod: it is in alpha phase and does not yet work with the first patch of the Elden Ring DLC, so expect insects and a little fat to make it work. You will have to choose between Shadow of the World Tree and the PC port of Bloodborne. In any case, it is appropriate to appreciate this great initiative of a fan who seems to be the only one working on this project. Do not hesitate to give him a thumbs up to encourage him in this endeavor that will surely end up delighting many fans, since there is no official PC/PS5 version lost somewhere in the world.
