Bloody: The rogue model promised by Rite of Night will not be realized, but replaced by random numbers.
According to Bloodstained: Rites of the Night On the Kickstarter page, the code created in the early stages of game development is not compatible with rogue games, especially procedural castles (thanks Eurogamer).
An expanded goal of the game ($ 5 million) will be replaced by random numbers. How does it work, whether it will be "story battle (player) habit, but a bit twisty".
With the randomizer, before starting the game, you will be able to choose from up to eight parameters that will be randomized. Examples include the "item-retain method", where items in the box will still generate the same items, but when they are found in the box, they will be "blended". Another example given is "completely random", which means "may drop anywhere".
"This mode will ensure that safeguards are in place to ensure that items required to complete the game are available, so you cannot soft-lock progress," read the update. "Once you make your choice, you can generate seeds that you can use for reference or to share with others.
"Also, the timer will track your progress throughout the game and show your completion time at the end of the run."
Randomizer will launch with the Zangetsu update, with more details coming soon. This mode will be free for all players.
Bloodstained was released on PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One last June.
