2025 continues to increase its list of video game adaptation releases. In addition to the second season of The Last of Us on HBO and the sequel to Mortal Kombat, now one of the films that performed best last year is added: Five Nights at Freddy’s.
The adaptation of one of the most successful horror titles of the last decade made its leap to the cinema at the end of 2023 and became one of the most successful films of Blumhouse. As expected, its sequel was confirmed shortly after its release.
After several months of pre-production, the company has confirmed that the pizzeria will reopen its doors next year. Specifically, it will be December 5, 2025 when we will see the animatronics causing terror once again on the big screen.
Now it remains to know what will happen to the main characters of the original film in this sequel. On the one hand, we have Josh Hutcherson, who played Mike Schmidt in the film and hopes to return to the franchise with new adventures. On the other hand, we have Matthew Lillardwho is more likely to return due to his enormous weight in the saga’s lore.
