Surprisingly, the research differences shown so far are small. BMW first launched an electric car in China in 2018. The project at the time was called Concept iX3. What many veteran BMW fans should expect is the car's "radiator grille". Here, iX3 proudly displays the typical BMW kidney-shaped grille, which was replaced by a more interesting surface in the study.

Put into production in 2020

It is unclear whether the displayed image is a real record or an ingenious operation on a computer. Anyway, these two pictures are the only two posts by the user "scott26.unofficial". He uses #bmwfan as a hashtag. Could BMW be behind this?

The BMW iX3 will be produced in China in 2020 and will be fully available in 2021. Its pure electric range is 440 kilometers [according to WLTP] and the output power is 210 kW [286 hp].

According to the report of the American magazine "Electrek", the range of electric X3 initially only provided rear-wheel drive, which is why BMW does not provide iX3 in the United States. This is where electric cars mainly compete with Tesla, namely Tesla ModelY. Its cruising range is about 500 kilometers [according to EPA].

BMW plans to provide at least 25 different cars with electric motors by 2025, including 13 new plug-in hybrid cars and 12 pure electric cars. Compared with the Volkswagen iD.3, the BMW iX3 is not completely designed by electric vehicles, but based on the famous BMW X3.
