Now Daphne actress Phoebe Dynevor, Penelope actress Nicola Coughlan and showrunner Chris Van Dusen spoke on Deadlines Contenders Television livestream about the future of the series.
Van Dusen replied in the interview according to Express.co.uk when asked if there are eight seasons, “I hope so – the series is based on a series of books. There are eight books in total and I think it would be a pleasure to explore the stories of all the Bridgerton siblings.”
When asked if they would be ready to take part in other seasons, Pheobe replied: “I’m ready!”. Nicola added: “Yes, we have a lot more gossip to tell, so … I’ll be there!” Netflix has not yet commented on the future of the hit series.

The “Bridgerton” universe continues to grow: Netflix just ordered its own Miniseries about the young Queen Charlotte. It therefore seems unlikely that the series’ writers will run out of stories so quickly. In winter 2021 it should finally continue with the 2nd season of “Bridgerton”.
