Buy PS5: Amazon should offer supplies starting today

The PS5 will be available again from Amazon today, a rumor suggests. This is where you prepare for a drop.

All consoles are currently sold out on Amazon.
However, there are rumors of a sale starting March 8th.
Alternatively, you can currently buy the console with a contract from E-wie-Simple.

Quickly buy a PS5 from Amazon and then play nicely. That’s what many Sony fans would like, but it’s not that easy – especially not at Amazon. The online retailer rarely offers the PlayStation 5 – especially compared to retailers like Media Markt, Saturn, Euronics or Otto.

On March 8th and 9th there will be another major sale on Amazon, as a hint indicates. Then even more than 10,000 consoles could be available, but it remains to be seen whether the rumor will come true. Check if you have an active Prime account. This has recently been a prerequisite for placing an order with the retailer.

Alternatively, you can win a PS5 from Nestlé or Sony. If you don’t want to rely on your luck, then ask for consoles in local shops near you – such as Media Markt/Saturn, Conrad, GameStop or Expert. With an electricity or gas tariff, you can also get the console from E-wie-Simple.

Amazon also has SSDs compatible with the PS5 in its range. You can now install this in the console after a firmware update and thus expand your memory.

Leave the console in the shopping cart even if there is an error

If the PS5 is listed as available and you receive an error message when adding the console to the shopping cart, then try the following: First put the PS5 on your wish list and add it to the shopping cart from there.

If you cannot continue ordering the console in the shopping cart because there is an error message, then leave the PS5 in the shopping cart anyway and update it again regularly, even after several hours. An order may fail for another buyer and you can continue the purchase in the shopping cart with that item.

However, Amazon may remove the consoles from the shopping cart if they are not available. But you can give it a try.

We noticed that the retailer has already offered the console several times in the morning between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., but sometimes also at 1 p.m. in the afternoon. You obviously have the best chances in the first half of the day.

Beware of Marketplace offers

Third parties can also sell goods in the Amazon Marketplace. The PS5 is also regularly on offer here. However, the prices are significantly higher than set by Sony.
