Everyone likes crossovers. It doesn’t matter if they are free or paid, because games like Fortnite and Call of Duty have shown that we are willing to pay to have our favorite characters. We already told you that the Epic Games game has become a brutal pastiche and Activision not long ago included the Warhammer marines, among other collaborations.
Helldivers 2 is the video game of the moment and its developers, Arrowhead Game Studios, have already made it clear that they are not so open to collaborations and that they do not want to be like Fortnite. While it is a respectable decision, it does not mean that the community will change its mind on the matter. Star WarsWarhammer 40.000: Space Marine 2, Gears of War, Fallout…The wish list is not short.
In this sense, the content creator and modder ToastedShoes has shown us what Helldivers 2 looks like with collaborations. They turn their characters into Buzz Lightyear, Master Chief, Marvel’s Star Lord, The Mandalorian, and transform the bugs into Lightning McQueen, Thomas the Train, Spider-Man (weird), and the Minecraft spiders, among others. It `s hilarious!
The transformation of bugs is horrible and we would never want it in Helldivers 2, although it’s great for the purpose of the video: to be funny. On the other hand, the armor doesn’t look too bad. While Buzz stands out too much, The Mandalorian and Master Chief fit together surprisingly well. I hope the crossovers end up arriving, even if they are with adaptations of armor and not characters as is. Remember that a new War Bonus arrives today!
