C77 Entertainment is a new studio led by Mattias Kylen and Kenny Magnusson. The two are considered to be real veterans of the game industry and have worked in the past on well-known game series such as Battlefield, Halo or inFAMOUS. As you can see, they are all action games.
The new studio, which will be based in Seattle, USA, is designed accordingly. The focus of the developer is "on large-scale action experiences for PC and console players". The work on a new IP is said to have already started with previous employees who have been working on said AAA game series.
C77 Entertainment was founded by Amplifier Game Invest, a subsidiary of the Embracer Group, which in turn is the parent company of THQ Nordic. The studio will function as a North American subsidiary after Amplifier Game Invest founded a Japanese subsidiary of THQ Nordic in Tokyo in the second half of 2019.
Amplifier Game Invest and the Embracer Groupu will not only provide financial support, but will also be involved in marketing, publishing, billing and more. In this respect, C77 Entertainment gets a powerful infrastructure at hand for its development project.
