After numerous leaks and speculations about this year’s Call of Duty, Activision itself has now spoken again and gives an indication of when the first presentation of the new shooter can be expected.
Recently, due to an internal alpha test phase, the leaks and reports about this year’s Call of Duty, which is said to be Modern Warfare 3, have increased. Activision has now revealed when this will also be officially confirmed.
The publisher had recently confirmed via Twitter that content from Modern Warfare 2 can be transferred to the new shooter part. Another confirmation has now followed: the first details on this year’s offshoot of the series can be expected in a few weeks to accompany the start of Season 05 in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.
Further concrete information was initially left out, so no specific date was given apart from the reference to the Reveal Event for Season 05. However, this in turn fits well with earlier rumors that spoke of a game presentation in August. After all, the current Season 04 called Reloaded runs for two more weeks. If the first information about the next season and the upcoming game is still available in July, then it could be the announcement of a reveal date in August.
How Insider Gaming reported that a beta of the new shooter will then take place from October 6th to 10th; this is to be followed by a second beta weekend from October 12th to 16th. The final release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is scheduled for November 10, 2023.
