Call of Duty 2023 has not yet been officially announced, but it can be assumed that it will be released later this year, at least for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
This could also be the last game in the Call of Duty series to be released for PlayStation. How Insider Gaming reported that the contract for the shooter between Sony and Activision Blizzard will expire in 2024.
Contract with Microsoft rejected
Microsoft, the company that wants to buy Activision Blizzard, is said to have offered Sony a follow-up contract, but Sony rejected it.
The loss of the contract and the possible acquisition of Activision Blizzard could at least eliminate the exclusive features for PS5 because Sony does not want to share any technical information with a possible competitor.
