Shortly before the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, fresh information about the upcoming part in 2025 became public. Here you can find out everything that is known so far about the next shooter in the popular series.
Already at the end of 2023, a large exclusive report from renowned insider Tom Henderson made the rounds, according to which the upcoming Call of Duty in 2025 would be a semi-futuristic sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Shortly before the start of this year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, further information about the next series offshoot has leaked online.
The new details originate from the Twitter account FumoLeaks. Information and images from an internal presentation were leaked there, the authenticity of which was subsequently confirmed by the aforementioned Tom Henderson. In short: The new information is actually true with the highest probability for such rumors.
According to the internal “Focus Group Meeting”, next year’s semi-futuristic Call of Duty will expand this year’s new Omnimovement system to include another component, namely wall jumping. Not only will you be able to repel yourself from walls, omnimovement in general will also be further expanded with new and more fluid animations.
The whole thread on X reveals much more information: The setting that Henderson brought into play last year is also taken up. Accordingly, another Black Ops story awaits us in 2025, set in 2035. The protagonist is David Mason and overall the shooter will have more of a spy theme this time.
Classic maps and game modes from the Black Ops sub-series should also return in multiplayer. There should also be Uplink and a new-gen version of Gunfight.
The Zombies mode is also making a comeback, with this being “one of the largest maps ever” in the series. That’s why there should also be a transport system with which you can move around the map. The Zombies mode will be turn-based and there will be a mode for up to 8 players.
Will all of this information come true in the final game? We will have more clarity on this over the coming months.
