Game news Call of Duty: Angry fans of the saga demand explanations. This element of the game must go!
When it comes to keeping a community happy, developers often have to make controversial decisions. Some love it, some hate it, but it looks like the latest Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 decision is having a really hard time getting through. In fact, Season 2 has just launched and players have discovered an element that is killing their interest in the new Ashika Island map.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 (or Warzone 2.0) Season 2, available since February 15th, is in full swing. With this update, the game is in Battle Order with new content and a whole new map. The peculiarity of this one is that it can accommodate 52 players, while other maps reach 150 participants at the same time. Therefore, those who prefer smaller battles quickly turned to this new map called Ashika Island. The problem is that to make up for the lack of players, the developers made a choice that doesn’t resonate with the Warzone 2 community at all.
Right in their bots
At Reddita certain TapInBogey questioned the developers’ decision to… integrate bots, i.e. fighters controlled by AI. In his opinion, while this map offers fast-paced play with balls flying in all directions, the presence of these “non-player” individuals massacres the rhythm of the game. And he comes to let go of a guess:
Again, I was confused by many decisions, but this one really makes me think the developers aren’t even playing the game.
In the comments we can read many people moving in the same direction, one of the participants even going so far as to state:
Anyone who came up with the idea of adding bots to an already busy little map needs to be fired immediately.
In short, the Call of Duty Warzone 2 community really isn’t happy, but it remains to be seen if that’s enough for the studio to back down. According to some people, this addition of bots is just a palliative for a perfectable AI, while others believe they were integrated to break campers’ routine. In fact, these bots tend to give away their presence, and some players think this is a good idea. Suffice it to say that the story is not over yet…
