Call of Duty Black Ops 6’s open beta phase includes new maps, game modes and weapons, so you can try out the new shooter for free.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be free to play in an open beta phase from September 6th to 9th. This gives you the opportunity to test the new shooter before its release in October.
In a English blog post Activision has announced that the beta will start at 7 p.m. The required download size varies depending on the platform.
Participation in the open beta phase
To participate in the open beta phase, you must meet various requirements depending on your platform. PlayStation players must purchase access for 25 cents per PS-Store and have an active PS Plus subscription.
Xbox players can download the beta for free in the Xbox-Store Battle.net users will need to install the Call of Duty HQ app and select and download the beta there.

Changes to weapons
In addition, Treyarch has announced in a post on X (Twitter) that there are changes to the “weapon balancing”, i.e. the strength of the respective weapons. Among other things, this affects the Jackal PDW, which has apparently been the most popular weapon during the beta phase so far.
Treyarch has provided concrete details about the changes in a new Blog post revealed. Among other things, it shows that the weapon’s maximum damage has been reduced from 29 to 26.
A possible replacement for the Jackal PDW could be the brand new Tanto .22, which a leaker previously found in the game’s files. However, you only unlock this submachine gun at level 30.
Black Ops 6 will be officially available for various platforms from October 25th. There is also a way you can play the new shooter for just one euro.
