The date of the new Call of Duty 2024 has been leaked. The shooter will probably also be included in the Xbox Game Pass, which could therefore become more expensive.
There will be a new Call of Duty this year, too, which is said to be Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War or Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – final clarity should prevail in the coming days and weeks when the game is officially presented. The release date of this year’s shooter will probably no longer be a secret, however, as it has now been leaked in advance.
According to a new report from The Verge The shooter is scheduled to be released at the end of October. The renowned and well-informed insider Tom Henderson subsequently picked up this report via social media, according to which the probability of a release on October 25, 2024 is currently greatest; then Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available in stores.
Fortunately, the new title will be part of the Xbox Game Pass right from day 1, so that subscribers do not have to purchase the full version separately. This is reported by the renowned Wall Street Journal. Accordingly, Microsoft has now finally decided to make Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 available as a game subscription – in addition to the usual individual purchase. There were still concerns about this, as publisher Activision Blizzard was likely to lose so much sales.
Sarah Bond from Microsoft Xbox also had this in an interview Bloomberg already let it be seen. There she said that all of Microsoft’s first-party games should continue to appear in Game Pass – and Activision is now part of the group. “You’re going to see some really big games coming to Game Pass later this year,” Bond recently added.
The most obvious would certainly be that the Xbox Game Pass including the new Call of Duty could increase in price, even if an official announcement is still pending. In this way, loss of sales for missing sales of full versions at publisher Activision level could also be compensated to some extent. We will keep you up to date!
