Platforms, cross-progression

campaign
Four years after Black Ops Cold War, Black Ops returns with a sixth installment, continuing the adventures of Woods and Adler. Except that the context in which they operate has changed. The year is 1990 and the Gulf War is in full swing. A “secret organization” has infiltrated the highest levels of the CIA. Woods and his team are quickly viewed as traitors and have to go it alone! Of course, it won’t be long before a new threat emerges. After the great solo of Cold War, Black Ops 6’s campaign looks very promising and will undoubtedly be as varied and rhythmic as the one we had in 2020.
Multiplayer
A focus on 6v6
But as always, the Call of Duty campaign is an introduction to the “real game”: multiplayer. It is precisely in this context that Omnimovement, the new movement system that enables sprinting, diving and sliding in all directions, comes into its own. To accompany this selection of super dynamic gameplay, Black Ops 6’s modes and maps are primarily focused on 6v6 (at least at launch). As of October 25th there will be no more 32v32 and no more modes like Land War. On the official Call of Duty website, we can read that modes will be added in the following weeks – in Pre-Season and Season 1. Keep this in mind Day onePlayers can play in 2 against 2 mode shoot-out.
All modes at launch of Black Ops 6:
Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search and Destroy, Confirmed Elimination, General Melee, Strategic Point, Gunfight (2v2), Headquarters, Control, Kill Order.
(Domination, Team Deathmatch, Confirmed Elimination and Kill Order are also offered in an alternative version with killstreaks disabled. A hardcore playlist is also available.)
Kill Order, the new mode
In any case, Black Ops 6 will offer 6 main game modes at launch with the big classics – Team Deathmatch, Domination, etc. – and a small new one, Kill order…Here a player is referred to as “HVT”, which gives him two advantages: he gets two points for every kill instead of just one and he doesn’t die immediately. When his health drops to zero, like in Warzone, the HVT falls to the ground and can be revived by his teammates. If the latter is permanently killed, the HVT’s role on the same team changes. In the end, the team that reaches 125 points wins. One in the other, ce Kill order seems to mix escort with more traditional deathmatch.
Close quarter cards
With such a focus on 6v6, the maps at the start of Black Ops 6 are of course particularly interesting tight spaces. So it’s October 25th 12 6v6 maps are waiting for you not Forfeiteddisused train station, as well Skylinea high-rise luxury home, both available in the August beta. Additionally, three maps will be 100% 2v2 (only Gala will be both 6v6 and 2v2). As usual, maps will be added throughout the season. The famous one Nuketown – from the very first Black Ops – is already on the agenda.
A corrected progression
As far as progression goes, Black Ops 6 returns to more classic and simpler basics. Even now, you don’t even need to upgrade a precision rifle to unlock the accessories you want for your AK-74. Now, To unlock all the little items of your beloved weapon, simply play through the games without going through the box again. unloading. Only the viewfinders remain universal accessories! Note that we don’t know if the daily quests associated with progression that allowed you to unlock new features beyond level 25 in Modern Warfare 3 (2023) will be retained on BO6. The title will offer 33 weapons at launch, including 11 new ones.
A very complete prestige
In Black Ops 6, fans of Leveling will have a lot to do. When you reach level 55, you can start with Prestige 1 and reset your progress (not completely, don’t worry) to get exclusive rewards. For example, this beautiful first stage gives you a Zombie Operator skin “in” World at War mode (all levels are inspired by Treyarch’s Call of Duty). Above all, Each prestige increase – there are 50 – gives you a “permanent unlock”.. Basically what any prestige means Actually Start at the bottom of the ladder again and all the weapons and lethal/tactical equipment will get stuck again. However, thanks to the permanent unlock, you can get an item starting at level 49 even if you are at level 1. In short, you have to make tactical decisions to advance your path to Prestige Master (where there are still things to win). Note that switching to a new Prestige doesn’t reset everything either! The progression of weapons, reticles, camouflages and challenges remains particularly secure.
zombie
Two cards to start
Come on, let’s move on to the last big part of Black Ops 6: the zombie! At launch, the title will offer two maps: Final stop et Liberty Falls. The first is an island with lots of fun things, like a prison, caves, a secret CIA location or even a laboratory where you can find some not-so-savory experiments. And the second presents itself as a “charming” town in Virginia with all the amenities a zombie could want: a motel, a comic book store, a bowling alley and even a bank. Of course, as always, there will be plenty of secrets. Let’s clarify thisa third map is already planned before the end of the year. As has been the case for several years, the new maps are free for everyone, regardless of the game version.
A welcome novelty
On the edge of the undead, secrets in every direction, the Black Ops 6 Zombie introduces something new, THE Perk-a-ColasAmmo mods and Field upgrades can now receive improvements. Basically, the game welcomes a new interface, “Increase Research,” which allows you to select an improvement and unlock it with enough XP. For example the famous one Energy mineInstead of being a single ball on the ground that emits three detonations, it can transform into three mines, each emitting a wave of energy. Every Perk-a-ColasAmmo mods and Field upgrades There are three major and three minor upgrades to unlock. And before you start a game, of these six bonuses, you only need to choose two per object (one large and one small). You have complete freedom to choose that build Best fits the map and creates synergies with your teammates. We just want to point out that Augmentation Research unlocks at level 11.
