Despite the major season patch, Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War continues to strike on the PlayStation 5. Instead of fixing problems, developer Treyarch shovels further bugs into the game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War has been anything but smooth on PlayStation 5 so far. Today’s patch for the first season just seems to have made things worse. Players continue to report crashes on their consoles. To make matters worse, there are also micro stutters on the long list of problems that Treyarch now has to fix.
Since the release of the shooter, many players have been complaining of crashes that keep them from playing the latest Call of Duty properly to this day. Even with the beginning of the first season nothing has changed. Much more annoying is that with the new patch another bug has found its way into the game. Annoying micro stutters have recently completely ruined the fun on the PlayStation 5. The frame breaks seem to be independent of the selected raytracing settings and appear to occur randomly.
We’re aware of an issue with occasional hitching on PlayStation 5, and a fix is currently scheduled to release as soon as possible.
As always, please keep an eye on the known issues we’re tracking at our Trello board: https://t.co/ZAN9e2CKVT

At Treyarch one is well aware of the flaws like it on Twitter and Reddit is called. They are already working on a solution to the problem and would follow up further bug reports, the developer said. Fans hope that the new content of the first season will then be made available to everyone. Because many players report that they currently have no access to Rebirth Island and the new multiplayer maps and weapons – even though they have already downloaded and installed the patch. If you want to enjoy Cold War right now, you really need a thick skin.
