Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has emerged since autumn last year as one of the most successful parts of the well-known shooter series. Call of Duty: Warzone was recently followed by the free battle royale mode – but times could be even rosier for shooter fans in the near future.
There has been a new shooter within the Call of Duty franchise year after year for a long time, but Activision seems to rely even more on this in the future. According to a leak by TheGamingRevolution, four new Call of Duty are in the works. Sources are not mentioned, but statements made by the Leaker turned out to be true in the past, particularly with regard to Call of Duty.
Among the four games is the regular new part for this year; Call of Duty 2020 is currently operated internally under the name Project: Zeus. In addition, speculation about a remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 should also come true; such had existed in the past.
(The follow up to Modern Warfare is also being worked on, I thought that was obvious though)

Sledgehammer Games is to work on a new free-to-play shooter in the series, which is expected to appear in 2021. If you believe the Leaker, then this free playable title will be available for PC as well as consoles and mobile devices. Last but not least, the fourth game is a direct successor to the extremely successful Modern Warfare from 2019; however, this should also be expected at the earliest next year.
For 2020 you can expect at least the new Treyarch shooter and probably Modern Warfare 2 Remastered; The latter had already appeared on the Internet in the context of an age classification. We will keep you up to date on further developments.
