While CoD fans worldwide are excited about the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered on PS4, Sony has decided not to release it in Russia.

Activision or Sony did not give any reasons for this. But it is obvious that the included "No Russion" mission could be the cause. This mission caused controversial discussions at the time of the release of Modern Warfare 2, as it made it possible to kill civilians at an airport as an undercover agent in a Russian terrorist group. Activision had removed the mission from the Russian PC version at its own initiative, but it is included in Campaign Remastered.

Activision commented: "Sony Interactive Entertainment has decided not to sell Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered on the PlayStation Store in Russia."

The fact that the non-release is due to Sony is also confirmed by the fact that Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered will also be released in Russia on April 30 for PC and Xbox One, as well as in the rest of the world.
