The official announcement is yet to come, but it’s an open secret that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released this year. Now new leaks promise the return of popular features and functions.
Recently, more and more leaks about this year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have been making the rounds on the net. Among other things, Insider Gaming reported on an internal alpha test phase – and from this the Twitter user @BobNetworkUK has apparently collected some new information.
Apparently, he got his hands on some pictures from the alpha of the new shooter and can use them to confirm that Sledgehammer Games will fix some major problems in the current Modern Warfare 2 that fans have complained about.
If you believe the leaker, the classic mini-map will make its comeback in this year’s shooter part. The ninja perk is also back. In general, perks should return in the form of equipment. Different gear sets represent different perks. For example, there are boots that give you the ninja perk, other shoes give you the marathon perk instead.
The War mode from Call of Duty: WW2 is also set to return in this year’s Modern Warfare 3. Incidentally, the title should be based heavily on the design of Modern Warfare 2 in terms of look – hardly surprising when you consider that the shooter planned for autumn was once planned as a DLC for last year’s part.
Since these are supposed features of the internal alpha, it may of course be the case that some of the content mentioned does not make it into the finished game. For the moment, however, we assume that this will really happen.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is expected on November 10, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
