In the new week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone will each enter their second season and Activision has now published the complete roadmap for the new season. This is huge, so you can expect a lot of fresh game content!
Anyone who plays the current shooters Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and/or Call of Duty: Warzone can look forward to the start of Season 2 next week. The first trailers were recently published, preparing for the start on February 7, 2024, but the full content of the new season was not yet known. That has now changed, because Activision has now released the roadmap – and it promises a lot of new content. Previous speculations about the content in fan circles are now a thing of the past.
In Call of Duty: Warzone, Season 2 brings with it a revised version of Fortune’s Keep. There will also be a ranked mode for the returning map. Other features in the battle royale spin-off include an Eradication Contract, a weekly zombie target, Wonder Weapons, zombie power-ups and a new public event. Later in the season there will be a PDS Field Upgrade, additional POIs known as Research Vessels and more.
As far as the main part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is concerned, there will be three new 6v6 multiplayer maps in Season 2 (Stash House, Vista, Departures), a map for the war mode (Operation Tin Man) and also new ones Game modes (Team Gun Game, Hordepoint, Snipers Only). Here, too, there will be a boost of fresh content later in the season, including the 6v6 map “Das Haus” known from Vanguard, updated variants of Terminal and Skidrow and additional game modes (Bounty, JuggerMosh).
With the SOA Subverter, the RAM-9, the BP50 and the Soulrender there are four new weapons, there are a total of five new events and the Zombies mode is of course not empty either. There is a new story mission and more here; additional Zombies features are also planned for within the season.
It had already been announced that Season 2 would also include the cross-over with The Walking Dead, which has been expected since the end of last year and will include Rick Grimes and Michonne as skins as part of the Battle Pass. This collaboration is scheduled to launch on February 28, 2024.
