With regard to the new Call of Duty, leaks and speculations are now going on in quick succession. Now the key art of the new shooter has appeared and confirms the name and setting.
Rumors have been around for a long time about the new Call of Duty, which will be released by Sledgehammer Games this year. Apparently, in the run-up to the official presentation, it turns out that this has been largely confirmed.
Accordingly, the latest shooter part will actually be called Call of Duty: Vanguard, as can be seen from the now leaked keyart for the game. The footage also confirms that the series does indeed return to World War II.
The images have now been found in the depths of the update on the occasion of Season 5 for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone. The corresponding image files that are contained here make a direct reference to the new shooter offspring. The fact that the files have now appeared there would not be surprising, as there were already rumors about an in-game event in Call of Duty: Warzone on the occasion of the unveiling of the new series offshoot.
The image material also has other pieces of information ready: In addition to the Standard Edition, there will also be an Ultimate Edition with extras. In addition, the name of a cross-gen bundle can be found on a picture, which is why it can be assumed that the next-gen upgrade to Xbox Series X / S or PS5 will not be included free of charge when purchasing an Xbox One or PS4 version will. Instead, Activision is likely to charge a surcharge this time.
The extras of the Ultimate Edition include additional character and weapon skins as well as other bonuses such as faster level up in the Battle Pass, Double XP and more. In addition, buyers of this edition will also receive earlier access to an open beta, which is also quasi confirmed, in advance of the release.
As recently as this morning, there was speculation that Call of Duty: Vanguard could be officially launched next week.
