Yes, there is Call of Duty: Mobile – but fans of the shooter series have been waiting for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile for a long time when it comes to gaming on the go. Today they will be heard, because this implementation of the battle royale spin-off is now available for iOS and Android. However, this is not yet the finished game, but rather a limited release.
This limited release was previously available in Australia, Chile, Norway and Sweden, where Activision conducted initial testing. The test phase is now being extended to the German market, so that you can now download the mobile shooter in this version.
With the limited release, Activision is testing the game with an ever-larger audience in a real environment. By opening up to the German market, the number of players is now increasing further in order to carry out stress tests for online matches and game play. At the same time, errors should be exposed and eliminated, and further feedback and findings on various aspects of the game will be evaluated.
The most important features of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile are already available as part of the limited release, including Battle Royale, shared game progress and social connectivity with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and the main game Call of Duty: Warzone. Additionally, Verdansk offers in-game events and Warzone Mobile original content. However, some content, features and modes will only be partially completed and will be continually updated as development continues until a global release in Spring 2024.
Otherwise, the title offers you the usual Call of Duty fare on the go: numerous weapons, vehicles and huge locations in games with up to 120 live players – and all on your mobile phone. Common technologies are used for social functions such as friends or chat channels, and thanks to cross-progression there is also a shared battle pass experience with the main games in the series.
The final release date for the full version of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile beyond the general indication of spring 2024 has not yet been set.
