In Call of Duty: Warzone, new content is regularly kept up to date; So there are different game modes in the context of a regular rotation. But Infinity Ward has further plans in the future – and uses Fortnite to that extent.
In conversation with Gamesbeat Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki now said that Call of Duty: Warzone should also be given more extensive changes over time, similar to how Epic Games is practicing with Fortnite. "That is exactly what we are currently working on, so we have already planned it," said Kurosaki.
Everything has to fit into the large, comprehensive world that was established with Modern Warfare. After all, the story of the main game does not end with the actual campaign, but is also developed in the form of the Spec Ops mode and Warzone in the future. "It will all make sense and it will feel right for the entire game universe," promises Kurosaki.
The narrative director did not go into details at first, so it is currently not entirely clear how extensive the changes in Call of Duty: Warzone will be one day or how special events will be organized. In Fortnite, the Battle Royale map is revised and changed several times within a season, and there are also massive live events.
