Even if such is missing in the current Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the zombies mode is one of the most popular modes within the shooter series. In the future, however, he will have to do without one of the most prominent supporters.

As has now become known, Jason Blundell is leaving the developer studio Treyarch, which was most recently responsible for Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, which still had a zombies mode. Blundell was most recently senior executive producer and co-director of the studio and acted as director, so to speak, as the creator of the popular zombies mode within the shooter franchise.
The Black Ops series loses one of its most important leading developers and must go into the future without it. For Treyarch that means a major change, after all, Blundell has worked there for a full 13 years and has played a leading role in the call-of-duty titles that have arisen there since Call of Duty 3 in 2006.
In a post on Twitter, Blundell looked back with gratitude on his time at Treyarch and thanked his ex-colleagues and the loyal community.
We wish to thank Jason for his many contributions to Treyarch. We’ve enjoyed our journey together and wish him the very best going forward! pic.twitter.com/Tb8o36VWb2

How things will continue for Blundell is not yet officially known. This also applies to Call of Duty, because publisher Activision has not yet announced which studio is now working on the new part this year. Recently there were also speculative reports that a remaster of the original Black Ops could appear in 2020, which will be 10 years old this year.
