in a 20 second trailer posted to Twitter, you see Jacob wake up with a start before walking down the hall into a room where he discovers a giant robot. A voice over the speakers calls the massive automated machine “the greatest creation ever”—at least, we think so. We can’t really understand the last words spoken. Maybe you can help us.
Regardless, Final Transmission will launch exclusively on PlayStation on June 27th for a 48-hour time limit. It’s coming to PC and Xbox on June 29.
Final Transmission will be the first DLC released for Callisto Protocol, but the game has already received previous updates. This includes Contagion mode, and the addition of New Game+, skins, and Riot bundles that include brand new modes.
Upon release, PC players of the game were plagued by stutter issues, leading many to leave negative reviews on Steam. After the first patch, the mood on Steam heated up to a “mixed” rating instead of “mostly negative”. A recent review for the service called the game “mostly positive.”
iGamesNews reviewed the game and gave it three out of five stars. While it’s not a bad game, Dom thinks it’s full of “wasted potential” and plays like a movie directed by Michael Bay trying to emulate John Carpenter.
