It’s that time again: You can purchase a new high-end PC in the Aldi online shop from the end of next week. The Medion Erazer Hunter X25 is equipped with numerous high-quality components. Yet it is at the price of around 2,500 dollars also a real bargain?
So we take a closer look at the specifications of the new Aldi PC and do the math. Can we build it ourselves more cheaply, or is it not worth building it ourselves in this case?

The beating heart of the Medion Erazer Hunter X25 is the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X with twelve cores and 24 threads. The CPU is clocked at 3.7 to 4.8 GHz ex works. In addition there is an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 Ti with 8.0 GByte VRAM and some other branded components – the specs in the overview:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (12C/24T, 3,7/4,8 GHz)

When does the offer apply?
You can get the Medion Erazer Hunter X25 from next week Thursday, November 25th, at 7 a.m. im Aldi online shop order for 2,500 dollars. Shipping and VAT are included in the price, the delivery time is given as five to ten working days. The offer is valid until December 18, while stocks last. Experience has shown that the computers are likely to be sold out much earlier.
How do we rate the performance of the Medion Erazer Hunter X25?
In our opinion, the Hunter X25 has truly earned the name of high-end gaming PC. The components are of high quality across the board and promise really good performance.
The RTX 3070 Ti is primarily designed for gaming in WQHD (2560 x 1440), but can also handle 4K (3840 x 2160) quite well in many cases, as our GameStar test shows:

Only with the built-in RAM could there have been modules with, for example, 3,800 MHz in order to really fully utilize the Ryzen CPU. But that is whining on a very high level and ultimately a question of money. DDR4-3800 is much more expensive than DDR4-3200. Depending on the manufacturer and the latency, this can mean an 80 or 90 percent surcharge.
How good is the price of the Medion Erazer Hunter X25?
To do this, we take a look at the prices of the individual components on the Geizhals.de price comparison portal and choose the cheapest in each case:

- CPU: that. 530 Euro
- GPU: that. 1,200 Euro

In total, we come to 2,545 dollars, possible shipping costs and the possibly required license for Windows 11 Home are not taken into account. In addition, you save yourself the assembly on your own. The offer from Aldi is therefore good, although it is also not a proven bargain.
