The Overwatch League games originally planned to be held in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hangzhou have been moved to South Korea.
In late January, Blizzard cancelled five Overwatch League Fearing the outbreak of a coronavirus, China hosted a home grandstand game. The competition is scheduled for this month and March.
Now, Blizzard has revealed that those games will be transferred to South Korea. The makeup contest will take place in studios in Seoul in the sixth and seventh weeks, and it will be difficult to add something to the schedule for the fifth week.
"The makeup contest will not affect other scheduled stands in Washington (Week 5), Florida (Week 6) and Atlanta (Week 7)," Blizzard said.
The exact date and time will be announced soon. Like all Overwatch League games, thanks to Activision's recent exclusive agency deal with Google, the makeup contest will be live streamed on YouTube.
The news is not particularly surprising, as many teams in those affected cities have moved their training facilities to Seoul.
