The Cannes Film Festival has come to an end. The last stars have walked the carpet and all prizes have been awarded. We’ll tell you which films were able to win in the end!
On the evening of May 27, 2023, this year’s Cannes Film Festival came to a close. In a glamorous closing ceremony, the main prize, the Palme d’Or, was awarded for the best film in the competition. We were there this year and will tell you who the winners are.
The Golden Palm has been awarded since 1955 and is considered the highest honor of the festival. This year “Anatomy of a Fall” prevailed and won this award. The film was directed by Justine Triet and starred Sandra Hüller and Swann Arlaud.
In addition to the Palme d’Or, there is also the Grand Jury Prize, which went to “The Zone of Interest” in 2023. Tran Anh Hung won Best Director for The Pot-au-Feu, and Best Screenplay this year goes to Yuji Sakamoto for Monster. Best Actors were Koji Yakusho for the film “Perfect Days” and Merve Dizdar for the film “About Dry Grasses”.

Michael Douglas received a palm of honor at the beginning of the film festival, and Harrison Ford also received a surprise palm when he and the cast and crew presented his new film “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny” in Cannes.
