Richard Gere tells us in Cannes how “Euphoria” star Jacob Elordi captured the essence of the young Gere to become a young version of the same role.
Uma Thurman, Richard Gere and director Paul Schrader are represented at Cannes 2024 with “Oh, Canada”. The film drama tells the story of a terminally ill man who tells the story of his life. Gere can be seen as an old version of the character, “Euphoria” star Jacob Elordi plays the young version of the same role: Leo Fife.
We were at the press conference and asked Richard Gere how he worked with Jacob Elordi to bring the same role to life. See what the “Pretty Woman” star responded here:
He is absolutely adorable and hard working.
Richard Gere on Jacob Elordi
Unfortunately, Jacob Elordi himself was not there to talk about his own experiences. However, Uma Thurman emphasized afterwards that she was thrilled with how Elordi had captured the essence of the young Richard Gere.
When I saw the film yesterday, to put it from an actress’s perspective, I noticed that Jacob Elordi captured the proud walk of the young Richard Geres. He didn’t overdo it, but I noticed it.
